Elevation

Overview

Elevation creates an implied third dimension that, when used purposefully, can help foster clarity as the user navigates throughout the experience.

Usage

Elevation is used in select areas throughout Arc Publishing, particularly when elements are overlapping. Elevation should be used with restraint, in areas where the user’s attention should shift to the element with the higher elevation.

Avoid using elevation stylistically, and only apply when the experience calls for it.
